Telescopes The main and central part of development, design and manufacturing of our company focuses on modern altazimuth (alt-az) mounted telescope systems. New drive technologies (direct drives) and hydrostatic bearing systems, together with high precision encoder units, allow very high slewing speeds as well as precise positioning and tracking. Even the most ambitious science projects of modern astronomy (GRBs, robotic observations, interferometry, high resolution spectroscopy, simultaneous observations, targets of opportunity, etc.) can be approached with these telescope systems. From the beginning, we tried to make these modern technologies to a standard in Halfmann telescopes. Therefore, we are now able to present a line of alt-az mounted telescopes with following apertures and nearly identical specifications: 0.5 m 0.6 m 0.8 m 1.2 m 2.0 m (in progress) Beside these standard systems, we can supply special designs of astronomical instrumentation and engineering with arbitrary apertures up to 2 m. In addition to modern and fast direct drives we can provide classical frictional drives for less ambitious projects. Telescope control software (TCS), astronomical, and robotic software we develop in cooperation with 4pi Systeme and Tuparev Technologies. Concerning the optics we collaborate with Astro Optik, LOMO and LZOS Lytkarino.
